What is RTS on iTunes U?
RTS on iTunes U is a free service that is part of the larger iTunes U program hosted by Apple, Inc. Apple started the program as an initiative for institutions of higher learning to provide free content to their students, but soon opened it up to the general public. Now, people everywhere have free access to courses and other content from the world’s top colleges, universities, and graduate schools. What is the vision for RTS on iTunes U?
RTS on iTunes U is a wonderful and unique opportunity to freely provide master’s level seminary content to RTS students, supporters, and friends around the globe. It is our hope that these materials will be of great benefit to Christians around the world as they seek to understand God and his works more fully, grow in their sanctification, and take the gospel of Jesus Christ to every tribe, tongue, and nation.
How much does RTS on iTunes U content cost?
All RTS on iTunes U content is provided free of charge. However, this program is made possible, in part, by our generous friends and supporters. If you’d like more information on prayerfully considering a financial contribution to RTS, please visit the Get Involved page on this site.
How do I access RTS on iTunes U content?
RTS on iTunes U is available in the iTunes Store through the iTunes software program. If you do not have the iTunes program installed on your computer, you can download it here. iTunes is compatible with PCs as well as Macs. After you have the program installed you can navigate to the iTunes U section of the iTunes Store, or simply click here to be taken directly to RTS on iTunes U. Can I sync RTS on iTunes U content with my iPod or iPhone?

Do I have to have an iPod or iPhone to use RTS on iTunes U?
All RTS on iTunes U content can be streamed directly in iTunes, downloaded through iTunes and transferred to other MP3-compatible media software, or played in other MP3-compatible portable devices. Please refer to the documentation provided by the developers and manufacturers of third-party software and devices for instructions on using them with MP3 files.
Is RTS on iTunes U content copyright protected?
While RTS on iTunes U does not employ Digital Rights Management (DRM) on any of our content, all RTS on iTunes U materials are subject to copyright protection under Reformed Theological Seminary. The full legal agreement may be found by clicking here.
Some of the RTS on iTunes U courses mention course notes or a course notebook. Is it possible to get these materials as well?
While syllabi (course requirements, textbooks, professor information, etc.) are freely available on the RTS Virtual website, course notebooks are only available to registered students at this time.
Is there any difference between the RTS on iTunes U course lectures and the lectures for registered RTS Virtual students?
In most cases, the audio lectures within RTS on iTunes U are the very same lectures that RTS Virtual students use.
How can I get credit for listening to an RTS on iTunes U course?
Course credit is only available for registered students. For information on how you may obtain a Master of Arts (Religion) degree from the RTS Virtual Campus, please click here.
I have something that I think would be a great fit for RTS on iTunes U. How can I get it on the site?
RTS on iTunes U is primarily reserved for material produced by and related to RTS. However, from time to time we will put up content from other groups that is appropriate to our program and purpose. If you have something you would like to see on RTS on iTunes U, please visit the Contact page on this site to contact the RTS on iTunes U administrator. Please understand that we cannot accomodate all requests, and the decision of what goes up rests with the Director of RTS on iTunes U.
